Comments / Directions: The Kellion of Saint Anthony the Great is a hermitage belonging to the Holy Stavropegial Monastery of Saint Anthony the Great in Phoenix, AZ. It was the original home of the monastery in 1982. It is not open to the public and all proposed visitor or guests must first receive blessing from the abbot of the monastery in Phoenix.

The monastery was established in 1983 with the blessing of Bishop Nektary of Seattle (originally a disciple of the Elder Saint Nektary of Optina, later made Vicar Bishop of Seattle by Saint John Maximovich of San Francisco) as a monastery for men of the Orthodox Faith. The founding members of the community were spiritual children of the Venerable Seraphim (Rose) of Platina. The monastery houses the miracle-working Phoenix-KAZAN icon of the Theotokos, as well as many sacred relics. The purpose of the monastery is to create an environment which facilitates the process of purification (katharsis) of the soul,
