Historic monastic skete, cemetery and religious center of ROCOR in Western Canada. Church built in 1937. Originally founded as a small men's monastery in approx. 1935 by Archbishop Ioasaph (Skorodumoff), of blessed memory. It also served the spiritual needs of Orthodox emigrant settlers on farms in the area. In 1949 the monastery became a convent for nuns.
